Berel Barenbaum, a former Yiddish comedian, is alone on his death bed. In his final moments, he imagines a theatrical performance of his life’s story, staged completely within the hospital room. What ensues is a surreal, humorous, reflective, and ultimately sorrowful meditation on a man’s life, the culture that produced him, and how both will soon fade from memory.
